A message from the EALRGA Newsletter Editor

Dear EALRGA colleagues and readers,

Welcome to our No. 65, January 2015 issue of the EALRGA Newsletter. This issue contains a range of articles, reports and library news focusing on Australian Asian collections.

Sincere thanks to everyone who has put in extra efforts to contribute to this issue. As we have been experiencing a year of tremendous change of organizational structures affecting East Asian collections and specialist library staff across the Australian institutions, I believe that cooperation and collaboration among institutions and strong networking among library staff becomes the vital key to survive under these circumstances. EALRGA is such a special community that has been around for so many years and I would like to see it grow and prosper for the coming future.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bick-har Yeung and Michelle Hall from the University of Melbourne Library for their outstanding contributions to the EALRGA community.  I have enjoyed working with them. They have been great colleagues and it has been a wonderful friendship.

Enjoy reading and I look forward to receiving any comments and feedback.

Warmest wishes,
Ayako Hatta
